The upcoming predicted difficulty for GenZ...

The world is on exponential growth with the technologies that we currently have. Now the thing is exponential growth for the world & technology is great, I think this is great for humanity as well. But there are things that GenZ might face in terms of professional work, social life & psychological behaviors.

Professional work

I have been in tech for almost 1.5 years now. It might sound less(maybe it is) but during the covid pandemic, I was staying at my home all day, just listening to some tech podcasts, playing with code, building some projects, learning about new technologies, & many more.

What I have seen in India is that students of age 17-20 are expected to take a path, and learn every single thing just to write an exam and get a mediocre job. I said mediocre because only the cream of the Indian students gets well paying & demanded job. Now here's the biggest problem that GenZ will face.

Naval Ravikanth once said “Specialisation is for insects. I don't believe in this model of trying to focus your life on one thing. You've got one life just do everything you want.” And that's true - humans are meant to do multiple things and be resilient in every sense. This mindset has been ingrained in students from the Indian education system. Now there are many BS things about the Indian education system but I don't want to get into that. And also most students see a job as work rather than a game, again this boils down to not having much choice earlier and choosing some random path just because someone said it has a great future.

I think particularly for STEM students they are going to have a really hard time working with new tech because colleges have very little idea of how companies actually work, use tech & the actual work done in a job. Machine learning engineering is one of those jobs. I bet, in the future, there is going to be a great demand for MLE and very less supply to fill those jobs because of not being relevant.

Small mindset & not a deep thinker

I personally hate & also love the fact that I was really interested in & got exposure to Human psychology/behavior at an early age. Somehow I got out of the status game & reflected upon myself & what I truly want from my life. But unfortunately, my friends & people I know are still playing the status game, fooled by their monkey brains. I always had doubts about answering the question "how do you think big? Why are so passionate? ". Now I know the answer to this is "My dreams are much bigger than my fears".

See people do certain things either because they want something like dream or they are feared of something happening. I might sound an extremist but it's true for mere humans who don't think deeply and who are still in their little boxes. I'm a little angry because nowadays I'm not relating to anyone. I used to love gossiping & bitching about someone else, and playing status games but not anymore. And nowadays whenever I talk to someone, it feels like I'm not talking to a real person but a person who they want to show the world they are.

Also, most people's confidence is built on top of compliments.
